Introduction¶
The reporting system collects data from people using the Store Locator Plus plugin on your website. When you turn on reporting via the "Store Locator Plus" settings page in the admin panel, the system will collect data about what people are searching for and what results have been returned. The primary data sets that are tracked are queries and results.
Queries¶
Queries are the things that people are searching for using your Store Locator Plus search form. It tracks the address as the user entered it along with other related search data. If you disable the search box the data being tracked will be more consistent as the users will only be searching by the city and/or countries you've provided them via the pulldown boxes. If you keep the search box enabled you may get a better view of what people are typing in and searching for on your site. Knowing what people are looking for may provide some insight into what your clients are looking for.
Results¶
Results are the stores we returned back based on what people have searched for. This shows you what stores people are seeing on the maps and the results table. This data will tell you what people are finding based on the data you've entered. This is especially useful if people are filtering searches by tags you've entered.
Report Parameters¶
This section allows you to set the parameters that define what data you see on the report page.
Start Date¶
Enter the start of the date range on which the report metrics will be calculated. Default is 30 days ago. Format should be YYYY-MM-DD.
End Date¶
Enter the end of the date range on which the report metrics will be calculated. Default is today @ 11:59:59 PM. Format should be YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. If you leave off the 23:59:59 part of the end date it will look for entries <= 12AM (first second of the day) so you will miss the last day of reporting. This may be desired if you do not want a partial report for the current day but a complete report through yesterday.
How Many Detail Records?¶
Enter the number of detail records you want to display on screen. This affects both the searches table and the results table. Default is 10 records.
Store Locator Plus Usage¶
This is a graph showing the total number of queries and results returned on a day-by-day basis between the start and end dates selected.
Summary¶
Summary information showing the total number of searches performed over the date range and number of results returned.
Details Section¶
The details section is where you will find the most searched locations and most returned results for your website.
Top Addresses Searched¶
The Top Addresses Searched table shows the address as entered by the user and the total times that address was entered over the time range selected.

Export To CSV¶
Each of the details tables can be exported to a commas separated values (CSV) file. Click on either Top Searches or Top Results to export the desired table. The CSV output will be sorted the same way as the on screen table and will output the some number of records as shown on screen.
Checking off the "export all records" box will export all records within the date range entered, not just those shown on screen. This is useful for cases where you may only want to see the top 10 records on screen but want ALL the records for the selected date range in your CSV export file.
