Show City Pulldown¶

This will display a pulldown list of all the city, state combinations entered in the locations database. The user can select any city on the pulldown to search for store locations within that location.

Determines whether the radius is in miles or kilometers.

Show Country Pulldown (Store Locator Plus only)¶

This will display a pulldown list of all the countries entered in the locations database. The user can select a country to search for store locations within that country.

Tag Input (Store Locator Plus only)¶

Show the tag entry box on the search form.

Preselected Tag Searches (Store Locator Plus only)¶

Add an "any" selection on the tag pulldown list thus allowing the user to show all locations in the area, not just those matching a selected tag.

Features¶

Default Map Type¶

Sets the default map type to normal, satellite, hybrid, or physical. This affects the appearance of the map whether it looks like a standard road map or a satellite picture (among others).

Show Map Inset Box¶

If turned on it shows the map inset box in the bottom right which shows the current map area plus the next adjacent part of the map on each side in a small inset box.

Immediately Show Locations¶

When turned on the map will start off showing locations versus the center of the geographic area you've selected for your map "home". When this is set the first N locations (set with "Default Locations Shown") will be "pinned" on the map and the text directory will be shown below the map. The Plus edition has a setting to allow you to turn off the directory and only show the pinned locations.

How many locations should we show when a search is performed. Recommended Max: 50.

Return at most N Locations When Searching (Store Locator Plus v2.4+ only)¶

How many locations do we return when someone does a search. Defaults to 25. Prior to version 2.5 the default was all locations within the given radius.

Disable Initial Directory (Store Locator Plus only)¶

If "Immediately Show Locations" is set you can check this box to prevent the text listings from appearing below the map. By default the text listings will show to match the pinned locations on the map. When this is set it will show the "instruction message" shown in the labels section.

Starting Image (Store Locator Plus only)¶

If set, this image will be displayed until a search is performed. Prior to version 2.5 this had to be a simple image name like "myimage.png" that was stored in the image directory of the plugin.

Licensed users of version 2.4+ can specify any URL as the source of the image, whether on the WordPress site or a remote URL.

Use Email Form (Store Locator Plus only)¶

Use email form instead of mailto: link when showing email addresses.

Disable Scroll Wheel (Store Locator Plus only)¶

Disable the scrollwheel zoom on the maps interface.

Hide Map Scale (Store Locator Plus only)¶

Turn the map scale off.

Hide Map 3D Control (Store Locator Plus only)¶

Turn the large map 3D control off.

Hide Map Type (Store Locator Plus only)¶

Turn the map type selector off.

Dimensions¶

These settings determine the initial map size and zoom level for the map.

Center Map At (Store Locator Plus v2.4 only)¶

Type in any address to set the default center point for your map. With "immediately show locations" turned on it will show the first N locations (default locations shown setting) closest to this address and will auto-zoom to fit those N listings. Without the initial directory you can set how tight to zoom the map on the default address via the zoom setting.

Countries¶

The country settings determines which Google Maps service to query for generating the map. It also defines the starting location of the map if you do not use the "Immediately Show Locations" option.
