Troubleshooting - No Products Listed¶
You put in the shortcode and nothing appears on your Wordpress page or posting. The following issues may be the reason why.
Your Advertising Partners Are Not Supplying Product Feeds¶
The plugin works by talking to the affiliate program system and asking them for a list of products from your advertisers that match the keywords you specified. Unfortunately not all advertisers supply product data feeds. Some advertisers only provide banner ads and text links to their affiliate partners.
If your advertising partner sells products and/or services through an affiliate program, we recommend you contact them directly and ask them to please provide a data feed to the affiliate system. If the advertiser does not have programmers on staff to set up the data feed, have them call us and we can arrange to program the data feeds for them.
We have found several vendors that do not bother to keep the product feeds current. In many cases they are not even aware the data feed has broken. Look up their contact info on the affiliate management site, they usually have a person listed that is responsible for their affiliate program, and send them an email. Often the problem is fixed within a few days.
In the few cases where the vendor was non-responsive we were able to locate several competitors that were willing to do the work for us so that we could sell their products easily & effectively with our MoneyPress plugins.
Commission Junction - Checking Product Feeds¶
You can check if a vendor is providing product feeds by logging into your CJ account. Go to your "links by relationship" and look for the company you wish to show on your site. Click on their name and check to see if Products are an active hyperlink. In this example from oDesk you can see they do NOT provide product feeds, only text links and banner ads.
Using Our Demo API Key¶
You need to enter YOUR API code on the settings page. This is what the program uses to talk to the affiliate management server and fetch YOUR account data. If you don't enter the your API code then you may not be talking to the right account, which may not pull the products you expect (or none at all).

The Plugin Is Not Licensed (defunt)¶
THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE FOR MOST OF OUR PLUGINS. If you did not purchase the plugin you will only be able to view the returned product listings while logged in as your Wordpress admin user. That means casual visitors to your site will not see the product listings.
