MoneyPress - Activating Your Product¶
Getting A License¶
Licensing is simple and takes less than 5 minutes.
- Visit the product page at http://www.cybersprocket.com/products/
- Purchase the plugin via the Paypal buy button on the page.
- You will receive an email with the license key noted within the text of the email.
- Go to the plugin settings page and enter the license key.
Your site visitors will now be able to see the product listings within your pages and posts.

Activating Your License¶
After you purchase the plugin you will receive an email from Lobby Jones, our trusted adviser of all thing cool, that will contain your license key. You need to enter this license key on your MoneyPress admin settings page in order to activate the product for the general public. Without the key you will only be able to see the plugin working if you are logged in as an administrator.
Connecting To The Data Feed (API Keys)¶
In order to start receiving data from the affiliate programs you will need to sign up for the programming interface (API) provided by the affiliate company. Every affiliate provider has a different method of assigning your website a key (the API Key) so you can access their data. Some are as simple as logging into your affiliate account and looking up the key. Others require you to tell them why you want a key, give a name to your "application" (MoneyPress On My Site should suffice), and a handful of other details.
Typically you will get your API key within minutes via email or instantly on the web page after filling out the request forms. Once you have the key go to the MoneyPress settings page and put that key into the API Key box provided. If you used our demo API Key for testing, delete it and put your API key in.
If you use our Demo API Key you may not get data back. This is because some affiliate programs limit the number of queries you can make in one 24 hour period. While this number is often in the THOUSANDS, with hundreds of people trying our plugins it only takes a dozen requests each before our limit is reached and our demo API key is no longer allowed to fetch data from the affiliate program.
This is also why we recommend getting your own API Key for testing.
Entering Your Keys¶
Login as the administrator on your WordPress site. Look for the settings menu in the left sidebar. Find the MoneyPress edition you are activating and click on the settings link. This is where you enter your license key, API key, and set the default parameters for your short codes.
