Get A Commission Junction Account and Developer Key¶
- Go to http://www.cj.com and sign up for your Commission Junction affiliate account.
- Now go to http://webservices.cj.com/ and register for a developer account (this is different than your affiliate account).
- This is how you get your own Commission Junction Key and Web ID that you need to enter in the MoneyPress - Commission Junction Edition settings screen (see below).
Download MoneyPress : Commission Junction Edition¶
You can get your MoneyPress - Commission Junction Edition plugin from these sources:
- Purchase the plugin from the MoneyPress - Commission Junction Edition web page
- Download the zip file from the MoneyPress - Commission Junction Edition support site
- Download the plugin directly from the Wordpress Directory Listing for Cyber Sprocket
Once you have downloaded the plugin install it using the plugin manager:
- Login as the Administrator for your Wordpress site.
- Go to the Plugins menu on the sidebar.
- Select Add New.
- Click on Upload.
- Browse your local drive and find the zip file you just downloaded.
- Install.
- Activate.
Enter Your MoneyPress - Commission Junction Edition Settings¶
Once installed, go to the Settings pull down menu from your WordPress admin login and look for the Commission Junction Product Search entry. Enter both of your keys in the Primary Settings section. If you get lost, the plugin will direct you to the settings page via a message at the top of the screen.
- Login to your Wordpress Admin account.
- Go the "Settings" section in the left sidebar.
- Enter your Commission Junction Key (this is from your developer account as noted above).
- Enter your Commission Junction Web ID (this is from your developer account as noted above).
Note: this is NOT your Commission Junction account ID. This is a developer key which you need to get from the http://webservices.cj.com/ site.
Getting Your WebID (PID)¶
Your WebID (aka PID) is the unique ID number Commission Junction assigns to each website your register with your CJ account. Your WebID is located on the Account/Web Site Settings tab at Commission Junction.
Login to Commission Junction
Click the Account tab
Click the Web site Settings tab
Choose your website from the pulldown list of website you've registered with Commission Junction.
Your WebID is the PID number listed in the site info.
Buy The Plugin¶
- Purchase MoneyPress - Commission Junction Edition from Cyber Sprocket so that your regular site visitors can see the product listings.
Note: If you have not licensed the plugin you will only be able to view the product listings when you are logged in as a Wordpress Admin.
