Using the Modules¶
Moola : Amazon Edition comes with two additional modules for you to use: a related items module, and a shopping cart module.
Related Items Module¶
The Related Items Module will display additional products on a page related to the page contents. When on a regular Joomla page or article it will gather information from the keywords and titles found on the page to find products. When on a page generated by the Moola : Amazon Edition component, it will find products related to those found on the page.
You can enable the module (or create additional copies) on the Module Manager page, which is found under the Extensions menu. The default module name is 'Moola : Amazon Edition Related Items Module'.
Once you find the module, you can click on the name to edit its parameters. This page will be very similar to the one for the cart page, but with fewer options on the right-hand side. The only module-specific parameter here is how many items you would like to display.
Don't forget to enable the module itself. If you do not, it will not show up on your site.
Shopping Cart Module¶
The Shopping Cart Module can be used to display information about a user's current shopping cart. It will display things such as the current total and number of items. It will also contain links to let them view their cart or proceed directly to checkout.
You can enable the module (or create additional copies) on the Module Manager page, which is found under the Extensions menu. The default module name is 'Moola : Amazon Edition Cart Module'.
Once you find the module, you can click on the name to edit its parameters. This page will be very similar to the one for the cart page, but with fewer options on the right-hand side. The cart module has two module-specific parameters allowing you to hide the module when a user's cart is empty, and to hide it when they don't have a cart at all. The difference between these two parameters is that when a user first visits your site, they will not have a cart, but as soon as they add an item a cart will be created. However, they can still completely empty their cart of all items. Even when they have done this, they still actually have a cart, but it is merely empty.
Don't forget to enable the module itself. If you do not, it will not show up on your site.
