cannot modify map settings / large radius dropdowns are not working

i'm trying to troubleshoot an issue where it looks like the 500mi/5000mi radius dropdowns are not working while searching the map.

when i try to modify any options on the Settings: Map page and hit Save Settings the page just reloads and my settings are not modified. i can sucesfully enable Reporting on the Settings: General page, though. any ideas for things to look at offhand?

the only thing i can think of that may be affecting this is our map data; we adapted the mysql script to truncate the wp_store_locator table, geocode the data and insert it into the table. some entries were not properly geocoded and the lat/long is (E602, 0) if that matters, but i manually removed those entries to test and it didn't help.

we're running SLPlus 2.2.5 (paid) on Wordpress 3.3.1.

Can you save simple entry like a label for a search field? If not try using a browser debugging tool (Firebug for Firefox, dev tools in Chrome/IE) and look for general admin panel errors. Could be another plugin interfering or possible a security/directory path issue specific to your install.

i didn't see any errors, but upgrading to the latest version (store-locator-le.zip posted 02/08/12) seems to have fixed whatever the problem was. that being said, a few quick questions:

1) i've seen files posted as store-locator-le.zip and store-locator-plus.zip; with them being merged i just need to download whatever the latest stable release posted is, right?
2) after upgradeing, on the Settings: General page i see:

The following optional add-ons are available:

[green checkmark] Plus Pack Version 2.3.1
There is a new version available: 2.4

but on the Wordpress Plugins page it's listed as 2.4. anything to worry about?

Version 2.4 new features are available for a $1 upgrade fee:

  • Custom Store Locator Plus Themes
  • Custom Map Center Location

Other than that you will have all the patches/upgrades available in 2.4.

The notice tells you that you have paid for all features through v2.3.1 and that there are some new features available in v2.4.
