BIG issues

Added by steve c 8 months ago

Since last Saturday the Catalogue no longer filters by merchant ID, and cannot drill down to the products via search

Anything set in the drop down apart from "blend" returns no product listings at all

US region / Secret key / access key and merhcant ID are all in params and getting success

Is this an issue with the new Amazon API ?

I've installed the update .94 & also done a fresh Joomla install+Moola on a test server with the same result to make sure.

There seems to be a serious lack of actual support going on in the support forum :( is it time to jump ship ?

Been "staying tuned" on the last issue for months :(

We are using the Moola! Amazon Edition plugin on a client project and it is working with the latest Amazon API. No issues there. Sounds like something may have changed in your server/application environment.

We are wrapping up that project and will be releasing the next update soon. There are not a ton of changes but we do have a new "anti keywords" filter that strips out products that have the "antikeywords" in the title.

Hi lance,

Cheers for getting back to me .. nothing was changed on the server config, also have tried 2 other servers (both different ISP and Local server) to be sure.

The store itself had not changed and did a fresh install of default Joomla install + Moola (only componant installed) on the other servers (to be sure).

The store is still showing products from other vendors, but not from our own merchant account, which seems kinda bizzare, it had been displaying everything fine until last Saturday using the drop down to filter to the correct group, and a refined menu item with 3 other products drilled down.

Cant seem to use the dropdown at all now or I get Zero products displaying.

If i set up specific keywords related to our products (e.g. Pet Supply collar crown) .. I get zero products,

If I set up the merchant ID I get zero products.

in the component settings, I have the correct details / success message displays.

Same issue seeems to present itself with 0.94 and 0.92

Could it be something on Amazons side thats changed the past week ?

Thanks

Steve C

Thanks for the last "helpful" unresponse ...

I have moola set up on a test server (I tried 2 servers) , completely non functioning with Version 1.0 with the hope errors might clear, not the case...

One thing I noted in the documentation: The account in question is a Amazon Merchant Account NOT an associates account (why we bought it), however it now states "Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, and Associate ID are all required parameters!" ... is this the problem ? .. if so when did it become an issue (it was not originally).

This shop was working fine for a period of months before abruptly not working correctly and the shop was functioning (and still is on the live server passing the cart but not displaying correct products).

Copying the features across now nothing is working.

Attached are screenshots of the current setup .. I honestly feel I've been uber patient in waiting for a response and feeling like the product is going no-where except making me look bad.

I've attached screen shots of the Semi-working setup currently on the live shop & also the completley non-working v1.0 setup.

I can give you access to the demo server where nothing is working currently on http://majestic.bubuland.com

There is NO additional plugins installed on the demo server, vanilla 1.5.25 install of joomla + moola ONLY.

Live Shop is http://www.crownmajestic.com .... you will note I cannot pull individual products and had to create the product pages manually for his own items .. the "beds" menu item is working as it should however.

If I add the merchant ID to any of the store items no products display.

PLEASE something timely ? .. I'm at wits end what to do.

This product works with the Amazon Associates API. Originally Amazon did NOT require an associate ID with that API.

They recently (just this month) released a new API server on their side that REQUIRES an associate ID. If you are not an associate and don't have an associate ID Moola Amazon Edition will not return results.

You must sign up for an associate account, get approved, and then use the matching keys + associate ID for the plugin to function properly.
